Artistic background

Dasha’s first steps in photography were made when she still had a regular office job, but slowly she started to explore the new medium and soon decided to become a full-time photographer.
She was always fond of science fiction and fantasy stories which offered an escape from reality to new amazing worlds. Photography gave her a chance to create those worlds in her images. “I became an artist because my art gives me a way to express myself and gives me a sense of joy and fulfillment,” says Dasha.
The motivation behind Dasha’s passion
Dasha’s mother used to collect artbooks of the great masters of the past. This was a huge influence and a reason why Dasha entered art school. Later on, when Dasha visited NYC, she was introduced to a series of conceptual photos by Anne Gaskell, which made a huge impression on her. This showed her that photography can be different from traditional black-and-white street scenes.
Dasha’s best version of herself
Dasha tries to live in the “now” and be the best version of herself possible. “This best version of myself wants to inspire other people to create more of their art,” she adds. In her opinion, if more people focus on creation for the sake of fulfillment, there will be less pain and wars in the world. “And if I am able to inspire more people to do that, that would be my way of making the world a better place,” Dasha says.

Art – Full of hope & optimism
Dasha’s art style is a combination of surrealistic, fine art, and conceptual photography. Moreover, her art can seem melancholic at the first glance, but actually, it’s full of hope and optimism. And desire to constantly change and grow through whatever challenges life throws at you.
